Selecting the right celebrant for you really just comes down to whether or not you “click”. Here is a little bit about me which will hopefully help you with this process ….
Who am I? Wow, isn’t that a tricky question to ask yourself!! Well, the abridged version is that I am a mother of four, a wife and a civil celebrant, and all three are roles that I love. I’m not saying they don’t come with their challenges, but overall, it’s a pretty nice mix.
I grew up on the Far North Coast of NSW, before venturing further afield and living and working in Sydney for 13 years. During that time I have travelled extensively with my husband and lately with my family before we returned to the Far North Coast to live in 2005 because, quite frankly, I believe that this is one of the most beautiful places to live, work and raise a family. And it is here that I began my work as a celebrant.
I was married here myself, many years ago, on the sand dunes at Byron Bay. It was a perfect backdrop and an incredible day that I will remember for the rest of my life and that is what I hope that my clients are able to say about their own wedding day in many years to come.
People would probably call me a pretty social person and I host many a function at my beautiful home in Tintenbar – from barbeques with friends and family, birthday parties for the kids, the odd impromptu Friday night gathering and have even been lucky enough to host a wedding or two right here in my home. I love a night out with my girlfriends sharing a laugh and a wine (who doesn’t), I try to get in at least one yoga class a week and I dedicate as much of my spare time as possible to my volunteer role as Treasurer for a charity called CDH Australia. So all in all, I lead a full and happy life.
I like to think that people would describe me as a warm, vibrant and fun-loving person with a real passion for what I do. I work closely with my clients, listening to their ideas and desires, to ensure that they are getting everything they want and need from me to help make their day exactly the way that they want it to be. I am also a full time celebrant so I don’t have to juggle my work and my time around another job, which means that I am here for you, whenever you need me.
There is a great old saying that says; “If you love your work, you’ll never work a day in your life!” and that is certainly how I feel about my role as a celebrant. I absolutely love what I do and I feel so privlidged to work with people at such important times in their lives – whether that is their wedding day, a baby naming of helping them with the passing of a family member of friend. I see my role as fundamental in ensuring that they get the best possible outcome from their ceremony.
I look forward to receiving your phone call or click here to send me an email enquiry – and remember that no matter what the occasion …………. life is worth celebrating!!!
