The birth of a baby is such a wonderful time in your life. As a mother myself I truly understand the incredible joy of this occasion. A Baby Naming Ceremony is a beautiful way to mark this milestone and to formally welcome your child into your greater circle of family and friends.
Through a series of meetings I will work with you to create a naming ceremony that celebrates your child’s life and your commitment to them.There is no formal structure to a naming ceremony so the only limit is your own imagination and inspiration. I have a resource folder which I will loan you, filled with loads of ideas to help you create a beautiful naming ceremony for your child.
Some of the things you may want to consider are:
whether or not you will have guardians for your child (also known as mentors or godparents)
do you want to acknowledge other special people in the child’s life e.g. grandparents, siblings etc
are there any loved ones that have passed on that you would like to mention or recognise
will you include any rituals e.g. butterfly release, naming candles, time capsules etc
do you want to mark the occasion with the planting of a tree, or the passing on of family jewellery
